Former goalkeeper Jens Lehmann complains about Spain's performance at the Women's Euros: "It would have been unimaginable with the men."

The Spanish national team players celebrated their journey to the Euro Cup final after beating Germany 1-0 last Wednesday. Upon leaving the stadium, Montse Tomé 's team sang, danced, and jumped as the eliminated team loomed large, a move that has been widely criticized in Germany.

"Beating drums, shouting and singing, the winners dance next to the German national team bus! Indiscreet, degrading and unfair . They are so loud that national team titan Ann-Katrin Berger cannot be heard during an interview in the stadium," denounced the tabloid Bild.

These criticisms from the German media have been joined by complaints from Jens Lehmann, former goalkeeper for the German national team, who was asked how he would react if it had happened to him.

"I don't think anything like that would have happened because there are many connections between players, Spanish players who play with German players, and I think it's a humiliation that it couldn't have been accepted with men as they are ," he began.

According to Lehmann, "it probably wouldn't have happened, so it's a bit difficult to comment." She added: "It's the first time I've seen something like this, and perhaps it's a peculiarity of Spanish women in the way they celebrate things. I think it would have been unimaginable with men ."
